Waterproofing Decks

The primary reason to waterproof your deck is to stop water running off into your home. Not only keeping things dry but also meeting all the building codes. Also, our products are designed to meet the requirements to give a slip resistant surface.

Important things to consider when selecting a product, is good durability, minimal maintenance and ease of cleaning. Whatever the size of your deck, there is always more than one solution in waterproofing. We have several options including Dec-K-ing, Butylclad, EPDM Rubber membranes, Cheveline Dexx and torch-on membranes supplied by various suppliers.

The product used will largely depend on its location, weather patterns and proximity to the beach, as well as your expectations regarding the overall finishing. Having the right fall on your deck will avoid water pooling but also to ensure your warranty remains valid. We try to have a minimal number of man-made joints to reduce the chances of leaks, etc.

We will also ensure that the correct drains and outlets that may be required on your project are the correct ones for the product you have chosen. This is an area often overlooked and not specified on plans, however they are crucial as the water must pass by these areas.

Most suppliers offer a minimum 15 year warranty on their products however some membranes may require some up keep and maintenance for the warranty to remain valid. In addition to the supplier warranty we offer a 5 year warranty on all workmanship.

All waterproofing products can be used in gutters. There are a variety of colours and textures to choose from so matching your roof is easy.

Basement Tanking

Below ground level basements (block walls) that are to be backfilled with soil, require a membrane that provides damp-proofing and protecting the below-ground portion of a building structure from water ingress.

We offer a variety of different products to create solutions for your sub-floor project. Some of our membranes are designed to stop root growth into the membrane; however the recommended product that you may require will depend a lot on your environment and its surroundings.
